IDS saw Dürr Dental presenting two new systems, Vector Paro and Vector Scaler, which both meet the optimum standards for functional design and ergonomics. With these new additions, the Vector Paro system is set to continue its impressive track record in periodontal treatment. Now including a scaler handpiece, the singular combination between the Paro and scaler instruments enables the system to be universally used in treatment for periodontal disease, periimplantitis, as well as routine dental hygienist appointments.
The dental team has used the established Vector method since 1999 to ensure efficient removal of supragingival and subgingival biofilm while simultaneously protecting regenerative, sensitive tissue. The core element in the technology is its linear vibration deflection provided by ultrasonic energy in the Paro handpiece. The Vector principle has proven itself in numerous studies to be both effective and comfortable for the patient, characteristics which have been achieved in the new Vector Paro system.
The sophisticated design sets new benchmarks in function, form and appearance. You will directly experience the intuitive control of the main unit using a clearly arranged, capacious operating panel, with staying power courtesy of a large water container. The ultrasonic vibration is controlled using a foot pedal (wireless or cable version), and the system also features an intelligent disinfection and cleaning programme. Biofilm is effectively removed using Vector Fluid polish, thus preventing bacterial recolonization. Special instruments made of carbon-reinforced composite are available for periimplantitis therapy.
With the inclusion of a scaler handpiece, the Vector Paro system and can now be used for a whole range of purposes. An especially outstanding feature is a newly designed lighting unit which illuminates even those parts of the oral cavity which are difficult to access. In addition to the Vector Paro, the user also has the Vector scaler at their disposal. This compact system enables the full spectrum of professional dental cleaning applications.
