DÜRR DENTAL AG was founded in 1941 by brothers Karl and Wilhelm Dürr from Gechingen in the Black Forest. The precision workshops were set up in Stuttgart-Feuerbach. The headquarters of the German company are now located in Bietigheim-Bissingen. Here, around 390 employees are engaged in production, research and development, and sales and marketing. The Dürr Dental Group currently has around 1000 employees throughout the world and enjoyed a turnover of €200 million in 2010, and is represented by company personnel in 25 countries. However, the wide product range of this medium-sized company also includes contact-free preparation and towel dispensers and a special prophylaxis cannula.

Today, dental/medical practitioners around the world are pleased to trust in the engineering designs of Dürr Dental. The company offers numerous system solutions in the fields of compressed air, suction, imaging, dental care, and hygiene. To ensure the highest possible level of quality, the company carries out practically all production within the business location of Germany.
At present, a new product from Dürr Dental has grabbed the attention of the experts. The product in question is a camera with interchangeable lenses - one for taking intraoral images and a second for fluorescence imaging. The new VistaCam iX generation of cameras has already been awarded design prizes such as the iF Product Design Award 2011 and the title of Red Dot Design Award Winner 2011. In future, the camera model may also include a polymerisation lamp in addition to the two lenses. Thanks to the new Dürr Dental camera, dentists benefit from exceptional intraoral fluorescence images. These images enable the reliable detection of caries when used in combination with a powerful digital diagnosis system for dental X-rays. This makes treatment gentle on the patient and accurate for the dentist. To ensure that the requirements of our customers will continue to be met in the future, the company is always on the lookout for young and motivated expert staff. "Here in Bietigheim we already employ around 100 engineers, technicians, and technical draftsmen in our development departments. However, we are always looking for suitable professionals to help to develop our many new products and to take part in our projects" says Claudia Geyer, Head of HR.

For Dürr Dental, the ideal employee will have studied electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, medical technology, software engineering, or information technology.
